General Questions

What is Deal a Day?

Deal a Day is a website which offers a single product or service for a 24 hour period. A new offer starts every day at 10:00 am (NZT).

Is it free to join?

Absolutely. You can set up a free account with us now. Simply click on "Join us" and enter your details. You will need a valid email address and nominate a username and password.

When I am buying a product where am I buying from?

You are buying products from dealaday.co.nz. In the case of services on offer you are buying services directly from the company offering those services.

Are all products on offer new?

Yes, all products on offer are new, and come in manufacturer’s packing.

Will you offer the same product or service in future?

Yes, if inventory allows. If the product or service becomes available again we may be able to offer it at a similar or better price.

What time do I get to see the deal of the day?

We offer the Deal of the Day at 10:00am everyday and it will remain valid until 10:00 am the next day, when another deal will be offered.

Buying

I can see only one item, do you offer more than one item?

No, our website concept is a "deal a day". We offer you one product or service at a special discount, for one day only.

I forgot to buy the product or service yesterday, can I still buy it?

No, once the deal has expired, you cannot buy the product or service at the deal price, although the deal may come up again at some point.

I missed on the free product you offer from time to time, can I get one please?

All products offered free are in limited quantity and once we are sold out we are not able to allocate further units, you have to be quick to grab free deals.

Can I buy in Bulk from your site?

No you cannot buy in bulk. We aim to provide an equal opportunity for all users to take advantage of these great deals.

My Account

How do I create a deal a day account?

You will find a "Join us" link on our header on almost every page; simply click and you are ready to become our member. You will need a valid email address, username and password of your choice to get you started. Click here to join us now.

I created an account but did not get a confirmation email to activate my account?

Normally confirmation emails are sent instantly, however please check your junk folder. If you are having trouble and or cannot find it, please send us an email on support@dealaday.co.nz

How do I edit my details?

When you click on "My Account" you will be able to view and edit your account. However, you cannot edit certain fields (such as your username) due to security reasons.

Deal a Day Dollars

What are Deal a Day Dollars?

They are points earned through purchases made with us. Once you have accumulated enough, you can make your purchase with Deal A Day Dollars. Every $200.00 spent gives you one Deal A Day Dollar.

How do I earn DAD $?

The only way to earn Deal a Day Dollars is to buy products online from our website. Please note that Deal A Day Dollars are not earned on services offered and free product offerings.

Can I redeem DAD$ for cash?

No, we will not redeem deal a day dollars for cash.

Can I buy products with DAD$?

You can use DAD$ to buy anything thats on offer on our website. If you decide to redeem your deal a day dollars and do not have enough credit, you have the option to pay the balance via credit card or pago.

What happens to DAD$ when I decide to delete my account?

Unfortunately you lose your Deal A Day Dollars, and you cannot transfer them to your friends or family. However you can always use your Deal A Day Dollars to buy for someone else from your account.

Customer Support

Can I have your 0800 number please?

We do not offer phone support at this point of time. However you can send us an email on support@dealaday.co.nz and we will endeavor to reply within 24 hours. We recommend you read theses FAQ’s before sending us an email, most of your questions will be answered here.

I have a complaint to make, how do I do that?

Feel free to send us a mail on support@dealaday.co.nz stating the nature of your complaint and we will call you back to resolve the problem.

Shipping & Returns

When do you ship my goods?

We consolidate and process all orders only after the deal has expired or sold out, whichever is earlier and not on the day of your purchase. We ship goods the next day to reach you within 3 to 5 working days at the most. You could expect slight delays if you buy a product on a weekend or public holiday but we will ship it to you as soon as we can. Please note that rural deliveries may take a day or 2 extra.

Can I trace my order?

Yes. The tracking code can be viewed by going into My Account section of the website and clicking on History tab. We also send you track and trace numbers via email once the order has been processed.

I have a PO Box address; will you ship me goods?

We cannot ship goods to PO Box addresses due to security reasons. Nor will we deliver to hotel or motel addresses. Only in case of magazine subscriptions we should be able to ship it to your PO Box address

I have purchased 3 units of a product; will you deliver at three different addresses?

Yes, once your payment is confirmed you will be directed to the delivery confirmation page. If you have purchased only one unit by default it will confirm delivery to your registered address. You can chose to change the delivery address at this point. If you buy three units of a product, you have the option of delivery to one single address or three different addresses. Please note that if you buy more than three units, the delivery will be done at the maximum to three addresses

What is your returns and refund policy?

If the product is damaged in transit please send us an email immediately and we will send you details on how to get a replacement. You can return a product at anytime if it is defective and is covered under warranty, most of our products carry a warranty. We do not have to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, so please choose carefully. If the goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.In first instance send us an email on support@dealaday.co.nz and let us know.

Payments

What payment options do you offer?

We have flexible options when it comes to making payments. You can either pay by Credit Card, POLi - internet Banking, Pago, or Deal A Day Dollars. What’s more you can redeem your Deal A Day Dollars and top up with other modes of payment. E.g. If the product is worth $150.00 and you have accumulated DAD$50 you can pay $100 by credit card, internet banking or Pago and $50 by deal a day dollars.

What is Pago?

Pago is an alternative mode of payment on dealaday.co.nz. Pago is a virtual "wallet" that you can transfer money to from any NZ bank account using Internet Banking. Once you top up your wallet, you can use it to buy products on dealaday.co.nz. To use Pago all you need is a mobile phone or email address and a New Zealand bank account. Pago is backed by ASB, so you know your money is safe. To know more about Pago and register with Pago click here.

What is POLi?

We recognized that some of our customers prefer not to use credit cards for online payments, so we searched for a safe and easy to use solution that works with online banking – POLi was the answer. POLi is a safe and secure system to pay for products using internet baking in real time. To know more about POLi click here.
